Frequently Asked Questions:

  • You can make an appointment to visit the Glimmerglass Infirmary by clicking the button at the top of this page. All appointment slots are 30 minutes. You are able to book your appointment up until the appointment start time, so while the Glimmerglass Infirmary can not take a true walk in appointment, you can schedule an appointment just before you walk in, should one be available. If one is not available, you can not walk in to be seen.

  • Nope! Making an appointment and/or being seen at the Glimmerglass Infirmary does not cost employees anything (Year-Round or Seasonal).

  • Most definitely! You can be seen and treated for minor first aid or illness, and if your condition requires more attention than the Glimmerglass Infirmary can provide, the staff there can refer you to another provider of care.

  • You can schedule a ride to the Glimmerglass Infirmary through the Company Management Ride Request Form on our Company Portal!

  • If you need the Glimmerglass Infirmary outside of the Tuesday/Friday scheduled hours, you can seek care outside of the Glimmerglass Wellness program through one of the local medical providers (ie: Bassett or an Urgent Care).

  • If you are more than 10 minutes late to your appointment, you will not be seen. NO exceptions. You should plan on arriving to your appointment 10 minutes early.

  • The Glimmerglass Infirmary can NOT see employees about active Worker's Compensation cases. If an employee visits the Infirmary and their reason for visiting is deemed to be eligible for Workers Compensation, they will not be able to be treated and will be referred to another medical provider. All employees who have injury/illness as a result of work should get in touch with the Glimmerglass Safety Department (safety@glimmerglass.org) to complete the appropriate paperwork/forms so that if your care requires continued treatment past basic first aid, your care is covered by Worker’s Compensation.

  • No, you may see an outside doctor at any time.

  • The Glimmerglass Infirmary is to be used for minor first aid or illness. Have a lingering ache that’s bothered you for a while? Make an appointment! Feeling a little under the weather? Make an appointment! Think of it like going to the School Nurse’s office.
